Home Depot is now selling marine engines manufactured in China. They need a test stateside captain. You game?

They got them over in the plumbing department next to the do-it-yourself PVC bike racks? I might just mosey down and apply if they do the engine swaps for me.

Started boating as a child (won a cup for best junior solo dingy sailer :smt001 at age 9) I turn 50 next year!
I manage a secure forensic mental health (male) admission and assessment unit.
I also race a 1000cc Superbike in the local club and national championships, still think I'm half my age ha ha
Its all about getting out there and enjoying life to the full.
I only go to work to make the money to enjoy the time I'm not at work!!
Family, boating, campervaning, racing are my passions.

Started boating when I was 4/5, got my first (Sunfish) when I was 8(ish). Not too sure if I could fly away from a plane crash, have walked away from car accidents, and made it through the sinking of a sailboat to the bottom of the Saginaw Bay (Great Lakes), I was 11, my parents found out not only that I had gone sailing but about the "accident" on the 11 o'clock news (limited access to my grandparents after that lol). So, I'm afraid of heights, hate flying, would much rather drive anywhere, and my world seems to revolve around boating as much as I possibly can! As for what I do I have been incredibly blessed in my life to be semi-retired at age 31; I work if, when, and for whom I choose to doing multiple things including business management/consulting and custom construction and remodeling.

Grew up a diesel mechanic in Texas in the oil field. Dad had a boat and we fished in the Gulf on weekends. He moved us to Fl when I was around 12. He bought an RV park and that put me in the rv biz! Now I have my own Luxury Bus refurbishing center in Sanford Fl. We are expanding to a 30k square foot building on 11 acres! Concrete being poured at 3:00am tomorrow....wooo hooo! It also seems we have expanded to remodeling boats...lol My partner likes what we did to his Prevost Bus so he decided we should do his 70' Sport Fish.. http://clubsearay.com/showthread.php/46073-My-latest-project...70-Mikelson..?highlight=mikelson so now I have a "night job" but will pay off as I have full use of her. I have already had to turn her around twice...so intimidating...lol It looks quite out of place at our marina here in Sanford...lol

Edit: BTW, we have had CSR's very own Rich Goodale here for a month living aboard and replacing the upper and lower teak decks! He's a little "salty" but does good work....lol j/k Rich!!!

I grew up on a farm in SE Ga, still have it, daughter lives there now, been working on stuff since I was big enough to hold a wrench. Started boating about 11, got away from it for quite a few years, then after my dad passed away I went to the farm and got the boat, got the engine running and used it, the bought my first SeaRay, 17 years with that one, now on second one. Made my living for many years as an automotive and heavy truck mechanic, still work for a truck dealer, handle warranty and keep the network and computers running.

I'm an IT Analyst (programmer) for John Deere. Been boating since a week after I was born in 1979. Started in my parent's '77 22 Sea Ray Cuddy, and moved onto their 1982 270 Sundancer, and then an '89 38 Carver. Bought my first boat in 2004 (29 Formula), bought my 390 last year. Hopefully won't be buying any more for awhile.......unless I can find a smokin deal on a 16 Donzi.

For money I am an application engineer selling high performance cutting tools. I also am a pile it, owned a V-tailed Bonanza, was a skydiver - jumpmaster and instructor in my younger days. For fun I program and design the lighting and run a large moving light rig for a very large church and travel frequently. I have been around boating for many years but really didn't start boating till about 6 years ago. Got tired of flying and decided I wanted to own SeaRay instead....:smt038.

I have one married daughter and a two year old grandson that I cannot wait to teach about boating...

I manage a team that is responsible for Vendors in the IT networking space for a large US bank. Going into my 3rd year of boating.

Ken,

Yes I am... but not big iron... PSEL....

I have never been a Pile It but I had my first steps on a 17' Dorsett then when I was 8 my Dad bought a 24' Owens and upgraded to a 31' chris Craft when I was 14. I was able to take out the 31 footer solo at 15 but had not operated anything more than a ski boat until I bought our 320 on 12/20/09. Still running electrical projects and the current project is: http://www.highlandatr.org/
I have managed the design and now we are starting to build the first building. Another 5 years or so and we will be complete!

Wife of one, mother of two boys and one girl and memaw of three gorgeous boys. Caretaker of 2 dogs, 2 cats, 5 birds and 1 fish.
Massage Therapist by day, Internet Lurker by night.

My first year boating was supposed to be my 2nd visit to Disney World. My husband has wanted a boat since we got married, and I gave up my dream to visit Disney so he could have his dream of being a boat owner. Three years and still loving it!

Started boating with my Dad when I was 4 on a yellow Sea Ray bowrider and then he traded up to a Bayliner with a fly-bridge. (yes I use the term "trading up" loosely) We ran Lake Lanier GA and the Gulf near New Port Richey FL. The Bayliner was then sold in the divorce and I started solo fixing up a 12' sailboat. (my first and last attempt at sailmaking...I don't sew well). That got me around the lake till I was 14. Mom bought a 87 Sea Ray bowrider 19' that I almost exclusively ran and maintained from 92 on for the family. Dad bought a Com-Pac 19 that I took out solo several times and he gave it to me in 07. Decided I wanted to go faster and stay out longer so I sold the Com-Pac in June and bought my 270 in July (my first set of twins!). For money along the way, I have been an auto parts manager, tow-truck driver, and now a Registered Land Surveyor and have been working at Hartsfield Atlanta Airport doing land survey and field engineering for almost 10 years. www.hmmhteam.com <--My latest project I've been on for the last three years but wrapping up soon....then I'm headed to Bimini.:smt038
