Not sure if this thread should go here or somewhere else. So I'll start here.

We took her out a few weeks ago and let down the anchor without issue. Getting ready to leave I moved the boat forward to take the tension out of the line and started bring up the anchor. It ran for a few minutes and then quit. As I tried to figure out what was going on it started to work again and then quit. More like it ran out of juice. Eventually I had to bring it up by hand.
Saturday we go out and nothing works - Not down or up. Not sure what the issue is but right now any and all ideas will be run down.
Thanks.

When you trigger the switch for down--do you hear anything? (You may need to have the admiral listen close to the motor)

if you hear the motor hum but it is not cranking, then it is probably a bad motor. if you hear nothing, try confirming all the eclectic connections are tight, clean and that yo are getting power to the motor.

MaddyDean,

We didn't hear a thing. I worked on it again yesterday, turned on the switch at the helm and then worked the foot pedals at the anchor site - nothing. Tonight I will check all the connections and see what happens. Hope it's not the motor.

Well the windlass is semi-fixed. I say semi b/c all I did was reset the breaker. Now to find out why it tripped it.
