Windlass

I have been on the look out for a Lewmar 700 windlass and see a guy selling them on CL in the Bay area for $450. Based on prices I've seen this seems cheap?

Second question. Are SRs pre-wired for these things? I have a 2002 260 and see a good size wire bundle in the anchor locker. Is this for the windlass and spot light options? Thanks.

I have a 1997 290 and I see the same wires in my anchor locker. Wondering the same thing.

That does seem a little cheap but maybe legit. I paid around $600 for mine a few months back through Defender marine. I do not think SR prewires the boats for power to a windlass to the bow. My boat had the option but no power wiring. You MAY have the wires from the control switches from the dash because those are often in a bundle/harness that may only be left under the dash. The bundle I had in my anchor locker were for the nav lights and spotlight.

Price seem on the low side. Make sure it's a full package and not just the motor. This kit included breaker, switch, wrench, etc. Those items add up if/when needed.

I just paid $450 for a new motor replacement only. Seems cheap.
