Windless anchor, 2001 Sea Ray 380.

When I try to lower or raise my anchor it is not moving, and I’m also hearing a hard click in the engine room breaker panel. I know my terminology is lacking, but that is the best I can explain the issue. The windless doesn’t move period. Where to start??

Sounds like your chain is gammed in the windless or below the deck. On top of your windless may be a cross if so loosen and see if your chain is loose.

Did you reset the breaker in the engine room? That was the probably the loud click. The chain could be jammed like Northern says and this caused the breaker to pop.

I did reset the breaker, but that was all, it was almost 10:00 pm when I found the problem. The entire family and I will be at the boat all day today and tomorrow, so I will have plenty of time to work out the bugs after having it transported. I have two boys and, two girls. Plenty of help...... hahaha

You will need to close in the back of the boat for more sleeping accommodations. Post a picture of the top of your windless if you can not get it working

I will post pictures of our “crew” tonight. We are excited. Very first night on the boat. If it’s too crowded, I can promise you my wife will have us in a 460 dancer by next year. I’m truly serious!!
