Have a problem. After 2 months of scorching fires here, we are now flooding (incl my boat, well not really)
I am getting a leak coming from the window in the lower cabin, main one above the kitchen.
There is 3 swing locks on the window and the bottom ones seem to be rusted and broken off.
The water is now coming in, hitting the shelf above cabinets then running down behind the panneling to the kitchen bench where the electrical is.

My question is has anyone else had this issue and how did you fix it?
I only relly have two options, (1) replace the whole window frame which I dont really want to do; (2) drill the rusted screw out and try fixing it somehow. I believe the water is leaking in from that screw because it isnt holding it tight up against the rubber.

Any help is sincerely appreciated

Cheers
Mark

Is it the oval port light with the stainless frame, the the 3 black plastic hatch dogs?

If so I had the exact same problem on my 270 AJ. The head of the screw corroded and broke off. It happened in a way that the dog did not fall off but simply would not apply pressure to the window, resulting in a leak. Without all 3 dogs apply pressure to the window it's impossible to get a water tight seal. I figured it out when I did my routine tightening and the head just spun.

Complete removable of the window wasn't necessary. I was able to remove the dog and see the body of the screw. I used a locking plier to grip it and back it out. Was surprisingly easy. Then just replaced it with a new stainless screw. If you can't get a grip on yours try a screw extractor.

Appreciated. My is deep in. Have to try some other way

You could try to spray with penetrating oil, let the magic work for some time and use screw extractor or left handed drill bit to remove broken screw or you can use regular dril bit to drill it out . Chance is that broken piece will start spinning and fell inside frame.
