I feel for our boating friends in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Nothing like taking the wind out of the boat season sails

This weather is pretty typical for the upper Midwest. On March 1 the snow was piled up above the windows of our cottage. Two days of rain and warm wind took 90% of it away almost overnight. This is what it looks like this week. Things change fast around here. We will get some snow this week but the boat will be at our dock in a few days ready to go. Boaters are already going by our house about every day in West Michigan.

April 10. Had our boats unwrapped to splash early due to flooding, didn’t splash, and this. I end up at the boat still on stands with a beer while and call it boating anyway.

I feel your pain we'll be slashing tomorrow here in tropical sunny Catawba Island Ohio. I promise I wont be like those people in Florida that usually chime in to tell you how great their weathers been.

Even though it is wintery today, it is nothing compared to two months ago. We were doing errands with the top down yesterday. This pic shows two months ago.

Just drove in it today. It took me 3 hours to go 70 miles. Those of you that are on MN (St.Cloud to St.Paul)
They closed 94 just south of Monticello because of an accident I guess

Well, I’m enjoying the Minneapolis weather today. Wind, snow, sleet, ice. Stuck st the airport.
You can keep it! I’m so ready for summer. This keeps up and we will have ice in the marina basin again!

I plowed this afternoon, to this point only got around 8" of snow. Maybe a bit more on Fri mixed with rain. I checked the open water forecast on the Lake, today 14-18 footers....I hope they settle down a little, I'm coming thru in 3wks.

Yikes. Hopefully those waves will wash all the driftwood from the ice packs off the beach.
