Roller are you still having problems. Things came up and I haven't got to the boat yet. I still plan on getting there just not as soon as I planned. We are going to Metro on the boat this afternoon and probably can't get the pic till this evening. Sorry.thanks Joe!
No worries. I can start the boat, I just have to parallel.
I took pics of all the gauges and switches today, but I haven’t found the nerve/will to start tearing the rest apart. I found vodka instead.
Roller I should have pointed out that the top is at the bottom of the photos. My finger is on the top of the switch. I wanted to be able to pull the panel out more and get a good pic, but all I could get was a few inches. I probably took 15 shots just to get these 4.Thanks!!! As it is now, the upper wires on mine are the reverse of yours. I thought I tried side-to-side swaps. One swap rendered nothing, the other ran the starter in the ON position. Interesting...
We it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be Roller. I didn't have much room to pull it out and get a good pic. Here's what I could get. I put my figure on the Starboard switch to help you tell which one was which. Hope this helps.
Closure on this: I apparently hadn't mentioned in my posts that I had installed a new switch. I bought a Carling OFF/ON/(ON) as they describe it, but I wasn't careful about model number or purpose. The switch I bought had the rocker positions correct, but lacked a jumper between the two "on" terminals. It was as simple as that.
The correct part yielded the correct results. Go figure.
Still owe you one for the pics Joe - I would probably still be swapping wires without them. Go ahead and grab a few beers from Rich's cooler - you deserve it.
