I hired a guy to repair a Raymarine 398 that would not 'remember' its last position. Then, I remembered the battery that is located in the L125 antenna that I replaced in 2007. I went top side and when I unscrewed the antenna I found the cable cut three inches below the unit. I was able to retrieve from the mast a two foot piece of cable that matches the cut piece on one end and with four bare wires on the other end. My question is what would that piece of cable with the bare wires connect to? Any comments about the tech that I hired I will agree with. I have someone else trying to locate a replacement antenna. Any information will be appreciated. Bill
It is not an L125; it is an L120. The 'suspect' did return to solder the cut wires together and the antenna is functioning, as it did before. The SOB did send me a bill for his labor, however. I will attempt a soft boot to see if I can get it operational. Bill
