"Woke" Thread

So now I’m curious as I missed the thread before it was gone, can it be resurrected?

The City of Cocoa here in Florida is a great little town with cobble streets and a host of restaurants and bars. We, every now and then, run the boat over there and put up to the public dock which is a short walk to downtown. It's a great place - live music on the waterfront on the summer weekends and so much more.
The Public Dock..... We pulled up a couple of weeks ago and there was quite a ruckus going on with law enforcement and a couple that had an older sailboat on the dock. The lady was shouting obscenities at the officers and it was bad. Essentially, she was making it clear the dock was public and they could be there as long as they desire. The bottom line is the dock is primarily for day use but the sailboat had been there for a week and the city wanted them to move on. The police got an earful and moved on. So it makes me wonder what instills this in people to act like that lady? It is WOKE? I really don't know - so I'll offer my definition/perception - what's yours?
WOKE - n, adj A structured movement both in the private and public sectors to prioritize a faction or fraction of the population over the general population's interests; to take consideration of a minority over the majority to the demise of the overall wellbeing.

    Thoughts?
