Re: Compounding/Polishing Polycarbonate, acrylic?
Just do not use anything coarser than a clear-coat safe polishing compound and do not use a high-speed buffer. The acrylic door will burn easily and then you'd have something you could never remove.

I must be missing something here.
The 3 bladed props decrease your speed, the decrease low speed handling and are requiring you to increase rpms. Additionally, Caterpillar established a rated... -

Re: new to diesel
John,
The power percentages vary by make, model and year of engine. If I posted a % power setting somewhere, it was a general comment about diesels or it was about Cat 3116's. Sorry .............. -

No, in fact, you will find diesel maintenance to be far easier than maintaining a pair of Mercruisers primarily because you have no riser manifold corrosion issues to monitor and repair, the sea...

Re: New to us 400 Sedan Bridge. Need info.
The 3116 now requires a 194 degree thermostat. With a slightly warmer operating temperature, the engine is more efficient and cleaner running. The cooling system was designed with a lot of excess...

Since you identified your use as towells and baby clothes, you won't be dissapointed. Suffice it to say that most of us know the washer/dryer combo unit Sea Ray supplies as "the Wrinklemaster"

This is a big job. The transmission has to be removed from the engine or uncoupled and moved away from it far enough for the mechanic to get his hands in the space to unbolt the coupler. THis is...
