Re: Official 280 Sundancer Thread
So, if Sandy wasn't bad enough, there's a nor'easter forecasted for midweek. I thought I'd get going while the going is good and have the boat hauled within the next couple of days. Well, I winterized the AC, genny, and freshwater system today, and I'll do the engine on the trailer. I removed the input to the freshwater pump and put the line in a 5 gallon tank of antifreeze, and the pump would not suck up the antifreeze. Luckily, I had a nice 12v Jabsco transfer pump, and I purged the system with pink using that. Does this mean that the freshwater pump is on it's way out? The water pressure was on the low side, and I'm wondering if it gave out altogether.

Re: Official 280 Sundancer Thread
My Kodiac plow has bent several times. Looking to upgrade to something stronger CQR perhaps. Anybody have any suggestions on what fits well?

Re: Official 280 Sundancer Thread
I too would like to replace the Kodiak plow that came with my boat. It does not hold well in the thin clay mud we have at the bottom of Lake Norman. Anyone replaced with a danforth type?

Re: Official 280 Sundancer Thread
Lance, I had a bad port alternator and changed it out. My Smartcraft gauge now shows 13.5v compared to 14.2 v on the starboard side. I checked and it's the same alternator as the old one and as the starboard side. I have yet to get a good answer as to why it shows lower than it did before.
