Question Raymarine 240 handset on 230 radio?

Does any one know if the Raymarine 240 remote-mounted radio the handset portion will work on the Raymarine 230 radio?

I have the Raymaine 230, and the cable is showing signs of being a bit long in the tooth. It does not look quite like the cable can be exchanged easily.

I have a chance to obtain a new 240 handset and cable but do not know if it will work on the 230 radio. The 230 handset is similar to this 240

I replaced my cord. Not too bad of a job and the cord was $53 from Raymarine

I have a NIB Ray 230 Full Function Handset (E46019), along with the used 215 I just pulled out.

Looking to trade for a snap davit system.
