There is an inverter by the dimmer switch you need to replace, I found one on the internet, I cant remember where but they very inexpensive
and easy to replace.

Thanks Spiro, I checked today and found what I think is the inverter. It was only about 2 in X 2in and the only thing on it is Sea Ray Part #BL ISV OR W 556Y. There are four wires coming out of it two on one side which are yellow and blue and two on the other side which are white and black but nothing else. Does this sound like the one yu are talking about?

WOW, removing the carpet in the salon is a lot of work! Worth it but A LOT of work. I have learned several tips and tricks if anyone is interested and have posted a few more pics at my boat upgrades website. There is a lot going on behind the scenes as well... the cushions are being re-upholstered as we speak and the new teak/holly flooring is about to be ordered along with some new carpet.
