Well there is a bloody reef growing on the bottom of my boat !! Hard to explain millions of these little white tube things that look like veins along with these fern like things the hull looks like a reef! Not one barnacle. Last time it was a carpet of barnacles. This time it looks more like a grassy sea bed!
Spent two tanks over five hours down there! A lot of growth for six months I need an anti foul desperately! Only about half way done but at least got the intakes clean which were full of clams and the propellors so they can push the boat properly. And about half of the hull.
Had a surprise visit from a shark about twice my length about an hour in. Thousands of bream "snapper like fish" came around and were feeding in a frenzy on all the crap that came off and I guess that attracted mr shark. I don't think he even looked at me. I was under the middle of the boat near the back and he was just off the port side. Just kind of slowly cruised by leisurely. Gave me the creeps for the rest of the dive in that murky water inflated my bcd so I was up against the hull and my legs were not dangling down. It was a pretty bloody big shark. No idea what kind. I have swam with mountains of sharks in the Caribbean but these sharks are different and how can you say it total dick heads not the kind you wanna be around! Even saw a bloody bird swim by under water , some swimming underwater fishing duck bird lol dunno
When I go back down will film some of it for the forum so you guys can see what I mean by growth! It's simply rediculous what's under there. Especially in only six months! My bottom paint must be completely wrong for this area!
Going out for the whole week end will have 28 onboard tomorrow a pro chef for the barbecue. Should be a fun week end will do some taping!
Haven't been out or using the boat for fun at all in like two months. The fun all the time is over time to earn some money so have been doing lots of work!
Almost done with a boating related website. Very comprehensive all made in joomla. Hoping it will go well here in Australia will be advertising big time in all the boating magazines here. I think it's a great idea kind of filling a gap around here for something. Will leave exactly what it is as a surprise until it launches :) have put a lot of money into the site, has great functionality and looks amazing. Just another month or so for the final touches!! Hopefully will get me more involved with the boating community here!!
Forum has been slow for a few weeks. Summer time here it's nice and warm I hopefully will be out a lot soon :)
KAZ: if you read this, how's the boat coming along have you got her all sorted and enjoying her now?? Is everything done??1999 Sea Ray 540DA

Doug : kind of regret saying yea to so many!! The sticker maritime gave me is 32 so it's legal and I have enough jackets. Won't be cramped if the weather is good as people spread out up on the bow etc. but if it rains it will not be fun that's for sure! Will be tight but weather report is good.
I warned everyone big time. I said anyone gets drunk they are put ashore right away at the closest dock and I don't care how they get home!! I emphasIzed and re emphasized to everyone respecting the boat and I honestly will shore anyone that gets out of line in anyway. Getting strict now adays no more of this I have put up with way to much already ... While cleaning the boat I found dried vomit on the back of the VIP door all stuck to the mirror got so mad and decided I have to get tough and put a stop to people treating this boat like its a piece of junk. So yeah no vomiting tomorrow or excessive alcohol I will not tolerate it for a second!! I work way to hard and put too much time and money into this boat for idiots to damage it and treat it like that ! I hate drunks! I don't even drink I guess that makes it even more annoying when people have too much and do stupid things. I maybe have a beer on a day out just don't like alcohol much.
Have some water skiis and a knee board going to use the jet and have some fun. Will mount the gopro on the back of the jet should make some great video :)
So yeah fingers crossed the weather is good and it's a fun day with no dramas !! Will over night at darling harbor and enjoy Sunday on the wharf!1999 Sea Ray 540DA

Rob, I don't think I heard whether the GFCI outlets got installed and hopefully worked, just curious. BTW, I had just left the money you sent for them sitting in my PayPal account. I used that, added some more and contributed to the relief effort Jim (the site sponsor) is mounting for victims of the hurricane we had in the northeast. So, I trust I've recycled your funds in a good way.

Well these people still want to go even though its pouring with rain. Learned my lesson new rule if its raining the trip is off!! 28 people on a sunny day no problem as they spread out all over the boat. 28 people indoors now we have a problem arrrrrggghhhh!! Why would they still want to go in this?? Sick of people I'm going to become a hermit boater lol just need a better defined set of rules and conditions !
Alnav: I thought I posted that the gfci went in great and worked out great? If not I'm so sorry!! Yeah was exactly perfect and fixed that whole circuit! I'm pretty sure I posted about it you probably just missed that post as sometimes I write entirely too much and it's hard to keep up with! That was such a huge help with fixing that and I'm gonna say thank you again :)
I didn't realize a hurricane relief was going on here have to go check it out and pitch in!!! Went through many hurricanes in Florida Andrew etc I know what it's like!1999 Sea Ray 540DA

Rob, here is the link to the CSR relief effort: http://clubsearay.com/showthread.php...Members-Donate. I know this kind of disaster can happen in your part of the world as well; I took a ship into Darwin several years after a cyclone hit and pretty much wiped it out in the 70's. It was still a very bleak place with lots of damage when I was there but I understand it's come back and is flourishing now.

Thanks for that Alnav!!! I will get to it once the chaos is over!
Yes hurricane like events happen here and like you said they are called cyclones instead. They are rarely as big as a hurricane in area size but tend to have more intense winds over a smaller area. Last year Queensland was hit. All our tropical regions are succeptible to them.
Oh boy wtf was I thinking with 28 people ! Must have been out of my mind lol
You would think I would be smarter than this by now!! Only have to survive five more hours then DH most of them will leave lol. I'm a dumbass! I have been at this over a year I should know better by now! I'm to keen to please I need to set hard rules and stick by them !!1999 Sea Ray 540DA

Hi Rob,
Where were you cleaning the boat, that you attracted that Shark......just want to make sure I avoid swimming there!
Weather was great today wasn't it? My daughter was 17 today, so just the three of us was went out for Brunch on the boat. Of course I was the one out on the swim platform with a wet weather jacket on, cooking bacon, egg and pancakes on the BBQ !
It did fine up when I finished.

the "beamy" part is it's downfall here Found 1 89 390ec here that has been on our lake since new and IS for sale but slips for a 14' beam boat are near 7k per year..nearly twice the cost of a slip...
Changing mind to a "lesser" boat...
