i will try that how do you flush out the tank? just keep flushing with clean water?? Not sure what you mean.. We get it pumped out everyother weekend but just in case we take a long trip i want to make it work..

If you decide to pull out the sending unit, I would take a trailer light plug and splice into both ends, makes it easy to service in the future. Bob

I am off to the boat next week, and will remove both waste unit indicators for a clean as described here....... but am I reading this correctly, that these units are hardwired into the boats wiring loom, as if intended to never be removed or replaced.

They are hard wired, but they do go bad, I just replaced mine, Adding the plug just makes easier in the future. Bob
