1990 sea ray 220 da berth header update

We are buying a 1990 sea ray 220 da. The interior fabrics need updating! Can the ceiling and side wall fabric just be removed and the ceiling and walls painted? I don't know what is under the fabric. We are new to the sea ray family and we're excited about our new venture. Thanks.

First, welcome to CSR...

Second, you will have a lot of work to get the rough fiberglass to the point where it will look decent. You are better off replacing the fabric with more fabric. Lots of good info here on replacing headlinners and such. Best of luck with your project.
