I just had to replace some of my system. We have a Thunderbolt VI system, mine is a V8-22 (the 22 is the advance, be sure to get the correct one) and a pickup in the distributer, plus the coil. I have a complete spare system on hand. Before anyone replaces the modual I suggest looking into replacing the distributer itself, it cheaper and removes many of these parts that fail

I had a similar issue on my last sundancer with twin 4.3's. it wasnt as much of a rpm change but like yours it would studder/cut out at high speeds, only underway, while the other side kept on keepin on. turned out to be just a dirty/bad distributer cap and rotor.

Cheapest ICM....$395++, distributer lowest price was around $400 with that you replace the harness, pickup, and ICM. Pickups are $75 harness around $25

Thanks for the info and offer. I will get to the boat this weekend and hopefully take a look. At that time I will probably have more questions. When you say "pickups" are you talking about the "points?" Where is the thunderbolt module?

On mine it is over on the riser, pickups are in the distributer
Sorry, I misunderstood your question. You have a distributer, in it there are magnetic pickup, and a rotor. From the bottom is the dist you see wires running to the coil and over to the ICM.
