Taking on water?????
My marina called be to let me know that when they put the boat down yesterday from the dry stack that I could not use it this weekend because it was taking on water, however, they did not know where it was coming from.
I had no problems when I used the boat the last time and definitely was not taking any water. Should I trust this marina and also what should I be looking for when I meet up with them on Tuesday. The only maintenance that they have performed is changing all of the gauges. Need some input ASAP.

With a boat that old, the bellows would be my first thought. Give it a good look over before you drop it in. If all looks good on the outside, have a very good light and a telescoping mirror and get right in there when they lower it.

Re: Taking on water?????
How did they know or discover it was taking on water? Did they see constant bilge pump discharge after they took it down?

It could be the bellows or the shift cable bellow or the steering shaft seal but they or you will have to do a good inspection. How old are the bellows?

I know I'm asking the obvious, but did they put the stern plug in?

Did it have a teak bow pulpit and/or teak platform inserts? If so can you send the dimensions? We have been looking for replacements for my dads 87 270da. I'm wondering if they may be...
