Out-Drive Trim Failure, 88 sundancer 280
Was out on our Wilmette Power Squadron Perch Rodeo today and starboard engine outdrive was somehow trimmed up. Now it does not work. Suspect an electrical issue. Any suggestions on where to look?

Re: Out-Drive Trim Failure, 88 sundancer 280
I recently had to replace all of the hoses on both Alpha 1 outdrives for tilt & trim. If you hydralic tank for t/t is full, and you know that the outdrive is in the up position, it probably is electrical. I have an 88' 270 Sundancer and I have fuses right under the dashboard, under the steering wheel; I would check there. What does the gauge indicate regarding the status of the starboard outdrive? all the way up, part way up? You could also check for the sound of the pump trying or not to move the outdrive up or down with your engines off. That would tell you right away if it is electrical and you can check from there. Happy hunting!
