Swim Platform
I have a 320 SA, 2002. Anyone ever take the swim platform off these boats? I need to get it off and was wondering if there are any tricks or things to look out for. I see all the bolts under the platform. Is it as easy as unbolting and pull off? how much does that thing weight?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Swim Platform
I replaced mine on my 1988 340. Go to Home Depot or Lowes and get the wooden tapered shims they sell. First make sure you block it up underneath the swim platform. Undo all the bolts. It should not fall off since they probably used 3m 5200 to seal it. Take the shims and use a hammer to push the thin edge at the top of the platform against the hull. Start several of them in areas across the top. Then take your time and drive them down a little at at time. The platform will pop right off before you know it. I replaced mine a few years ago with one from Swim Platforms .com. My boat project web page has pictures of the old and new one. I did not think to take pictures when I was using the wedges.

That's a nice looking boat. I love the lines of the SR bridge boats. Nice find picking up your boat in Algonac and only having to cruise it to Sarnia. I've been to Sarnia a couple of times...
