Re: Thinking about Greenport on the way to Block

You can cut inside without a problem but it is shallow and some pots around, I usually go wide and pass red to starboard staying in the channel, then turning to starboard heading north then west around Shelter Island to your port and Claudios and Mitchell Park will be to starboard after passing the jetty and Sterling Harbor on the same side.

Any recommendations on gas? Best price in that area - according to Mitchell's they don't have fuel.
Also - is there a ferry that goes to Sag Harbor?

    Thanks,

Mark, you have to go into Sterling Harbor to Brewers or Townsend for fuel, I try to avoid fueling out there. And yes, there is now a ferry service from Mitchell Park Marina to Sag.

    Mark,
I wouldn't go to far out of your way for fuel, here at Champlins it is $4.70 a gallon.... Not all that bad considering it's Block! :)

Got right across to shelter island to dering Harbor. Picozzi's dock is open early. Prices are better than above places.

Hey Mark, i think i saw/talked to you at Mitchell Park . We were there at the same time. Did you pull in with another boat (30' footer?) We were there with another boat also, (26 Four winns) Everything in your post seems to match the guys we met in Greenport! Let me know if that was you. Thanks Jon
