Re: Clairon CMD6 stereo
I think it is - it uses MW1/MW2 remote's (same as far as I know as the CMD4) - and it uses CeNET (Clarion's net) to connect to Satellite & CD changer.
I thought about getting it for my "new" boat that has a CMD4 - but I am now more leaning to Fusion IP700 series. I don't need a CD changer - just an iPod connection. The IP700 seems a little more modern than the CMD6 or CMV1 from Clarion. Cable run for a new remote is a little more tricky but then what is life without a challenge :-)

Re: Clairon CMD6 stereo
Thanks Kaz, I hope the cmd6 does hook up direct. I'm not a huge loud music fan, but I like good clean sound at a moderate volume. The cmd4 in my boat is dying and I just want something to replace it with as little trouble to hook up as possible.
Good luck with your "challenge" upgrade.

The place I got the diodes from apparently doesn't have them. I found them somewhere else, but they cost a bit more than what I paid. http://www.galco.com/buy/Semikron/SKR26/16
