Gelcoat polish/wax?
Hi all. I am new to the forum and a new (to me) Sea Ray owner. We purchased a 2003 240 Signature Bowrider last month and so far so good.
The previous owner did take very good care of the boat so there is really no discoloration or oxidation to speak of but I would like to give it a good polish and wax to bring out the best of it. What product and system of polish/wax would you recommend for my boat? A few of the local stores do carry a variety of the Meguiar's Marine products.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Re: Gelcoat polish/wax?
I use Shurold products. Buff Magic and the wax are great! Water and microfibre cloths for cleaning inside. Spray Nine is great for cleaning vinyl when it's dirty.

Starbrite with PTEF is a very easy polish to use. Throw some wax on after and you are set. I am using Presta products now and consider them top notch.

I'm a new fan of 3M Finesse it II with a Makita rotary 9227C follow by Starbrite polish with PTEF(..like Ken mentioned) with a Porter Cable 7424 random orbital.
Make sure you keep the Finesse it is moving constantly and you're using a wool pad.Skål, Todd

Re: Gelcoat polish/wax?
My 1990 310DA was really oxidized when I bought it. I used Buff Magic followed by Pro Polish wax and the results were amazing. It's not cheap, but it is easy to use and the results are great. I bought it at West Marine.
