Annual 3 week Desolation Sound and Gulf Island trip.

Boats all packed up and ready to go (well almost).
We're heading out tomorrow to tow the boat 900 Km to Vancouver. Then it's off to the Sunshine coast for a bit, over to Comox for the long weekend then up to Desolation Sound. Ater a week or so there we'll head down to the Gulf Island for a while before returning to Vancouver on Aug 17th.
Most of the nights will be on the hook, except for a few nights in Comox.
Just hope the weather stays good and the winds remain calm.

I'm in Comox right now, sitting at the dock having a cold beer, as the temperature is 32 C here today.
The above photo was taken in Codfish bay on Jedediah Island.

Off to Desolation Sound in the morning.

Well we made it back safely and had almost perfect weather the whole time. One night it rained for about half an hour, the next day it was cloudy. Other than one night that was windy we had calm winds for the most part.

    Westie,

Many thanks for posting the pics as this is the only way some of us will every see those areas of the world. I know I often think no one would want to see the few pics we take as we assume everyone travels the Bay, Rivers & Creeks we travel but seeing your pictures remind us that we all are not from the same area.

    Again many thanks,
    John

That big white yacht in Laura's Cove is Jim Pattison's. Nice yacht!

    Great pics. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for sharing your pics with us. We've been through the San Juans a few times but never further north from there. Maybe next year, and we definitely will post pics.
