    20+years of boating on the James.....

    Went out with the wife and girls last night for a nice evening cruise out the James. From Jamestown out to the ghost fleet. I gave each of the girls a chance at the wheel so I could relax and just let them enjoy the power of the twins. Coming back in the river was smooth as glass, my oldest asks calmly, dad, I see something ahead of you, and I think it's moving?! We grab the glasses and slow down, for ten minutes we cawled looking. Then out of know where we stop a guy swimming...from Hog Point to College Creek. Mind you we are in the deep water channel dead center of the river! Stopped ask if he's ok...yea....do you know you're in the channel.....yea, do you know the sun is setting in five...yea. Called the CG, advised the tug and tow coming behind me and went home.... W&M is back in session for sure now!
