Re: Slo poker run, Orange Beach, AL
If I was down that way I would love to. We used to fish a lot out of orange beach but my boat captain went private, sold his boat and no longer charters when the economy started to turn.
I now fish out of panama city since we have a place we stay just outside of there.

Looks like a fun run. We just had the Patriot Poker Run this weekend in Lake Pontchatrain, and I'm still trying to recover from it

Looks like fun and a good cause. We are going to try to do this run. Put our ole 340 to good use.

Re: Slo poker run, Orange Beach, AL
Just got back from there after about 12 days. We split a condo on the beach with another couple for the month of September, and go back an forth during the month. It's about a 4.5 hour drive for us. It's a great time to go because most kids are back in school, the restuarants aren't crowded, the rates are low, and the weather is not so opressively hot. I usually stop by and check out all the marinas....love to go to Bear Point and sit on the front porch swing with a Yuengling (2).

An hour and half on Friday doing the front yard and edging the ditch, 3 hours today in the back yard and I am not done. I had to get the chain saw out for a bunch of saplings and 3 trees that came...
