New to site. Have 2003 480db with QSM11's. Just found out 6 months ago about coolant brackets. Replaced them. Also Cummins told me about campaign letter to replace fuel cooler brackets. Dealer replaced both coolant brackets at no charge. Anybody who has not done so should call cummins and give them your engine serial numbers to see if you're on the campaign list. Also Cummins has designed new air filters which are pricey as hell but the replacement filters list price is $120.00 each.
Would like to hear from any 480 owners that have any tips I should know about.
Also - You can get the coolant brackets on without removing the floor and pulling the heat ex changer off.
You have to cut the top hole open so it slips over the bolt that only backs out about 1/2 inch. The new brackets are so thick that this allows you to do this.
