    Any concerns updating iPad to iOS6? Mapping?

    Can you go back if you do not like it? Will your apps work with it?

    Not sure about going back....it's not possible to my knowledge. However, I've been running it on my phone and iPad since Wednesday and have had no problems whatsoever with it. Everything works great. Go for it!! :)

    I upgraded both as well Mike. A bunch of my apps went through updates as well. I haven't had any problems since.

    If you put the device into Device Firmware Update (DFU) mode you can roll back to your previous backup with iTunes. This worked for all the previous versions on all of the Apple devices, it should work for ios6 too.

    iOS 6 is great.....the maps suck. I love the turn by turn but the data is soooo bad. There are tons of things in our area that it gets in the wrong place and it places things that haven't existed for over 10 years.

    On downside I found last night was the music player on th iPhone. I used to select the genre, then all songs then shuffle. Buggered if I could find the all songs, or shuffle option, on ios6

    Google Maps is available as a a seperate app, just install it and you've got the same mapping capability as before.

    Maps is part of iOS6 so no. If you update the maps go with it. Google now has a map app in the App Store if I recall.
