Sad site today in Orange Beach
I was running over to Shuckers to have lunch and noticed a rather large boat stuck on a sand bar at Bear Point. When I got close it was a 50 Sundancer hard aground with 3 sea tow boats trying to pull her off. She was sitting with about 1 foot of the waterline out of the water. We had lunch and on the way back she was still sitting in the same spot no Tow boats around.
Hope it is no one from here.
The water changes depths very fast so you must stay in the marked area if your draw that much water. The inter coastal waterway runs through this area so it is well marked.
Sad hope it is not too messed up. I will try to post a picture later.
