We're taking some friends to Annapolis for this weekend it didn't occur to me that this was the blow boat show weekend until I called for slip reservations. Seems like the whole town is booked up on Spa Creek and Eastport side of Back Creek. We can get couple fo slips for our group at Port Annapolis which is on the other side of Back Creek. We usually stay at the Yacht Basin so I have no experience with that part of town.

Pleace looks OK on the web but I'd appreciate any actual experiences from those who've been there... any issues with the place for two-night stay?
As far as getting into town, looks like we can dinghy across and tie up at any of the dinghy docks on Back Creek and walk into downtown Annapolis. Is that doable? Are dinks generally safe there for couple of hours?

Any local knowledge much appreciated.
