Hello Everyone!
After looking into many forums we decided to sponsor this forum. The Beard Marine Group is the largest marine air conditioning, watermaker, and refrigeration sales and service company in the Southeastern United States. We have offices in Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, Florida, and Savannah, Georgia.
Our commitment to customer service is priority one. We constantly strive to maintain our reputation for quality service by investing time and resources on advanced training for our entire staff. Our computerized operations enable Beard Marine to continue to offer our customers the same level of prompt, efficient service, which they have come to rely on over the 30 years we've been in business.
Whatever you need will be provided from the Savannah office. If you need equipment from the other offices all we ask is that you tell them that you heard of us through this forum as we have to track everything sold. The Savannah office is the only office set up as a distributor. Jesse and myself (AL) are very much looking forward to meeting and helping everyone with everything they need.
The products we distribute are the Dometic A/C and Refrigeration, Eskimo Ice, Mastervolt, Isotherm, Uline, Norcold, Tecma toilets, Sea Recovery among others. If there is anything you need go ahead and post a new thread and we will be glad to help.
Thanks everyone!
Al Javier

Re: Hello Everyone!
I am glad to hear that Beard Marine is sponsorong this thread as my question is related to marine air conditioning. I boat in South Florida where the barnacles grow fast and a coating forms in the lines that acts as an insulation and prevents the water from carrying away the heat. A friend suggested that I put Bromide tablets (lihe the kind used in swimmming pools) in my sea water strainers to keep the barnacles from forming in the lines.
Does this help and can it damage the A/C units? Is there anything that can be done to clean the lines other than an acid flush periodically?

Re: Hello Everyone!
I'll look into it and get back to you in regards to the Bromide tablets, we do offer an alternative to Acid flush called Hammerhead Descalor offered by Bright Bay. The hammerhead is non acidic therefore prolongs the life of the coils. Its comes in one gallon jugs and can be diluted into 4. All of our dealers were only using barnacle buster and we gave each of them a gallon to try out, since then we struggle to keep these in stock.

Re: Hello Everyone!
Do NOT use the tablets, I spoke with the higher ups and there has been documented issues with ruptured condenser coils and strainer baskets due to the bromide tablets. Using the hammerhead would be the biggest help in this circumstance.

I'm getting ready for a long weekend of cruising around. Anyone up for an afternoon raft-up on Saturday? Also, does anyone happen to know if they are doing fireworks at Sunset Cove on Saturday or...
Any Lake Lanier boaters on here?
