Groco flush kit.
Anyone ever use these? Seems better than the plastic perko flush kit. Any advice?

Re: Groco flush kit.
I bought one two years ago for my a/c strainer to winterize and it works great!

Re: Groco flush kit.
I love this in concept. Unfortunately, my motor pulls water through a seacock AND through the Bravo III. I guess I could install this, but still need to put muffs on the B3 and hook up both to antifreeze for winterizing?

Re: Groco flush kit.
am I sure? no, not 100%. I actually hope I'm wrong, but I read somewhere that my boat was set up that way. I climbed down next to the motor and I thought I saw the Y fitting on the pump with 2 hoses feeding it. Again, I could be wrong. This is my first season with the boat and I was hoping to do this myself. So its time to figure it out!

Re: Groco flush kit.
Are these fairly straight forward to install?? I need to get to the boat the measure my hose diameters to ensure I purchase the correct part. Unless someone here would know for a 1995 370DA with 7.4l bluewaters.

The inlet side is NPT ( national pipe thread) that threads into a nipple then into the outlet side of your strainer, then the outlet side of the groco is a hose barb that attaches to,your exsiting hose, when you want to flush the motor or winterize, you remove the plug and attach the adaptor to the garden hose the other end is a compression type fitting that pops into the groco. pretty straight forward I think. Ordered mine today from Defender.Last edited by Havana Shamrock; 10-08-2012 at 03:44 PM.
