Re: New SR jet boat
It would not surpise me with BRP exiting that market.
I was at IBEX this past week, and attended a speaking segment by Dusty McCoy, CEO of Brunswick - nothing was mentioned regarding that, though that does not really mean anything. What is really selling right now in the boating industry is pontoons, they are up significantly while all other boats are flat if not down.
Also with demographics being what they are and the projections for the next several years, it appears the focus will be on smaller more affordable boats to get more folks into boating.

Re: New SR jet boat
Sea Ray is re-entering the jet boat market. They have partnered with Weber Motors in Germany for the power package and will have 21 and 24 ft jet models.........boats are expected here in the late fall.

Re: New SR jet boat
Yes, there's been a formal press release and they've mentioned it on their social media platforms. If you search Sea Ray Boats on YouTube there are some new company videos, including one for the new 220 Sundeck (thre will be both a sterndrive and outboard version) as well as the new jet boat.
Edit: The videos are on Sea Ray's YouTube Channel.Last edited by NorCalGlenn; 10-07-2012 at 10:28 AM.

Re: New SR jet boat
I was planning on buying a 96 Searayder yesterday but I read quite a bit that the force engine was obsolete and junk.
It'd be nice if that market kept going strong.Greg

Re: New SR jet boat
A friend of mine had a 21 ft Yamaha jet boat. He did not like it for watersports, specifically tubing as he said the rear did not bite enough to have fun doing it.
