lake o the pines tx
Anyone boat there,is this the correct forum?just wondered because my mom and her hubby will be working to camp at the corps of engineers park there this winter and was thinking of a winter visit also getting info of things to do for them .Thanks glen

We live just a couple of miles away. Very, very shallow with lots of stumps and dead trees. I wouldn't put a boat in there unless I was just fishingt in a small boat. It is really isolated; but about 100 mile3s to Shreveport, La and the casinos and 200 miles to Dallas. The best lakes (30 miles+) are in Arkansas. Try Lake DeGray; about 100 miles north.

Thanks,unfortunatly they are back in tenn.or georgia now.They stayed busy though as moms hubby has one kid in tyler and one in anderson or lawrence, both with grand babies for them to spoil.They didnt get any rest while there and it rained a lot.They did say there were fishing boats out on the nicer days but nothing else.Glen
