Replacing a bench seat on a Sea Ray 270 (1986)

I'm attempting to replace the bench seat on my 270 Sundancer (1986), are there any "how to" plans available for such a job or do you just have to wing it?

now sure which bench, you mean the flip out rear bench, the permenant bench option in back or the helm seating area? in any case I highly doubt you'll find plans. your best bet is going to be getting some other 270 owner to get you pictures and measurements. I'd love to help but my boat is in storage now till spring.

the first link is a specific thread to the mid 90s 270 which I am not sure if it is the same as your 86. Mine is a 2000 but is similar enough to the mid 90s that the thread is salient for me. The second link is a specific rear seat thead.

Nope the 80's 270 was a big beam boat. but that does bring up a point in that you might be able to use an early 90's 280 design (the 280 in 89-91? was a restyled version of the 80's 270) should have nearly identical seating.
