Stuck hatch over cuddy cabin in 215 express cruiser! How do i unstick the window?
Hello,
Not to sound like an idiot, but how do I unstick a hatch window on my express cruiser 2150. The tilt up hatch window is stuck to the window seal, and will not open. I tried prying it, but i do not want to break the window.
Any ideas. I hate to be in the cuddy cabin, and have the main entrance slider door jam. I would not be able to get out the window in the ceiling!
Thanks
Rick

Mine was stuck and I just kept pushing until it opened.
it took some effort.
i make it a point to open it when ever I'm there now.

you can lay on your back on the V berth bed and use your feet to push up on the sides of the hatch...you legs are much stronger than your arms...by placing your feet on the edges of the hatch glass as you push up you lessen the chance of breaking the glass...i suppose you could try spraying some WD-40 or PB Blaster into the seal using the straw that comes with the cans....let it work for an hour or two then try to open the hatch again....

Thanks for the feedback SeaNile. The boat has the mercathode system and the zinc. Not sure if the mercathode system is working though. The engine did not overheat, as soon as the temp went...
