1989 200br dry weight?
Hey all. Boat is stored for the winter already. And im having a heck of a time figuring out the total weight of boat and trailer. Might be selling pickup if wife's SUV can handle. I have a 1989 sea ray 200br with single axle shorelander roller. Im 2nd owner of the setup. Trailer was purchased new with boat. I've read dry weight of boat anywhere from 2300 to 3400 lbs, and never got around to hitting up a scale. Wife has an outlook with towing package rated around 4500 or 5000lbs (gotta check when she gets home), and would love to sell truck if this can handle. Anyone with some insight please share. Thanks.

Re: 1989 200br dry weight?
The official dry weight is 2360 lbs for the base boat. Then you need to add for all options, fluids, and batteries to get to the vessel weight. then add the trailer weight. You then need to evaluate the gear you carry when you are trailering and account for it in your gross.
This is a quess as to what it may look like...
Base boat dry 2360 lbs.
Oil, fuel, and batteries etc. 260 lbs.
Options, bimini's etc. 100 lbs.
Trailer 900 lbs.
Accessories, life jacket, skis etc. 70 lbs.
Cooler 60 lbs.
Total estimated 3750 lbs.
I do not know the year of your Outlook but they varied in tow capacity from 4500- 5200 lbs.
My advice is if you are towing short distances (under an hour) and launching at launches that are not super steep you should be able to tow your boat with this rig.

They failed and it closed. Now we are trusting the economy of our country and our banking system to the same nit-wits who couldn’t make money running a whore house and selling whiskey!”

Re: 1989 200br dry weight?
Thanks for the response. That was kind of my rough guestimation. We launch about 10 miles away. Up north is 45 min highway drive. Figured at a conservative estimate i have about 1000 lb cushing. For the payments of my supercrew and the fact that i put only 5k miles on it in the last 10 months lol. Figured i'd take a look at getting rid of her.

That's the kind of flexibility you need to have to be able to pull the Mercruiser cool fuel assembly out from under these engines...
