that means you have heat exchangers, all you need to do there is drain the raw water side.injected engines should use the remote tank mix. its the only way to protect the injectors.

Gary, starts on page 46. But I, and most people I know, run the pink through the raw water side of the cooling system and call it a day.

The remote tank mix is the cocktail that some people run through the motors to fog them for the winter. They mix up gasoline and two cycle outboard oil in a 10 to 1 mix, add appropriate amount of stabilizer in a remote tank, like an outboard tank, and plumb it into the fuel line between the fuel/water seperator and the fuel tank. then they run this mix while they are running the pink through the motors. FWIW, I go with the 2 ounces in the filter routine outlined in the manual on page 48, I feel it's easier.

individual injectors or throttle body type cannot be protected by fogging a motor thru the manifold . should you have moisture in the fuel, they will rust solid internally.
last time i checked they were about $110.00 each

Nice manual. Where did you get it. I have printed version for my motors but an electronic copy would be nice.

I was wondering about preparing the fuel system for extended storage and disconnecting the harness connections from fuel pump and fuel boost pump. Does anyone have more detailed info like photos of these connections so it's clearer on what to do. The directions are kinda vague. Thanks!

Did the cocktail mix on my 8.1s yesterday worked great I have the gen III cool fuel modules all I did was disconnect the flare fitting going to the module from the fuel tank and attached the mixture tank which was made up from a short piece of fuel line with the 3gal tank connection on one side and the flare fitting on the other attached to fuel module started the motor ran at 1100-1200 rpm's for 5 mins then shut down thats it.ran the antifreeze through at the end of the 5 mins . If you have the cool fuel modules, this is where you attach the (pony tank) top pic. the bottom pic is the connection used to attach the tank to your temp fuel line. Hope this helps
