Got one and love it. We have had it for 6 yrs. The are tanks, take rough water with ease. Sorry about all you problems, but glad they are behind you. Had a similar issue with our port engine.

Great Bahama...what year is your 500? Did you end up doing an overhaul on your port engine? Would love to see some pictures

Ours is a 1992. we were able to rebuild in frame, cost about 15k. New sleeves, one new head. Job was done by local Detroit dealer. Left the day after it was done for Florida, no problems at all, but was a little nervous first few days. Only other problem we had was starboard v-drive blew a few years ago. Make sure you check the zincs, didn't even know they excisted, OOOPS !!. Yours looks identical on the inside, we have the old style cockpit. Hope we get a few more 500s on this.
