Re: Newbie looking for 340 or 320 Sundancer

I'd also like to say I hope you, your family, loved ones and boats were all safe during the hurricane.

I was kinda in you position at this time last year. Knew very little about maintaining and operating a sport cruiser. So I went and bought one intentionally in the fall. I almost immediately had to winterize it but kept it in a wet slip over the winter. I used that time to learn how all the systems worked (tore some stuff apart and put it back together again sometimes just to learn) and get comfortable with it. Did a lot of reading and asking on this site. Spent a lot of time on the boat with a ceramic heater on in the cabin. Then when spring came I felt really good about my knowledge of the boat and dove right into using it on the water. It took several months of that to get past anxiety of going out on the boat, but now I can't wait to fire it up and take it out. Hope this might help you in some way.

Help a knowledgable friend winterize his boat. You will learn a lot that way.
