Looking for a Stainless Steel windshield assembly for 2005 340 DA
I need to replace my aluminum windshield assembly due to corrosion under the powder coat. Is anyone else have this problem ? Any sources would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Looking for a Stainless Steel windshield assembly for 2005 340 DA
Based on the reports of others who were trying to purchase replacement windshields, it has been reported they were told by Taylor Marine that whole windshields have to be ordered from Sea Ray. Looks like the SS Windshield was an option on the 340DA, at least in 2008 so it may still be orderable. Sea Ray customer service can tell you for sure. I have seen the cost just to add that option on the build sheets and it is significant just as an upgrade fee. Unless you have a large budget for this project, you may want to investigate options to disassemble and re coat your existing windshield with the help of a local metal shop.

Marine max has a starboard one one eBay. Not sure if it's what you need but worth a look. Staring bid is $500 and says msrp is around $3200.
Bit steep for one side so hopefully you can get it loser to the $500 mark. Good luck.

How bad is the corrosion? I know other members use Woody Wax to prevent additional corrosion. I use Woody Wax on mine to prevent corrosion. Reports were that they stopped the corrosion completely. Hampton is the one that did this on his 340. The S/S windshield was a $5k upgrade.

The corrosion is in several places all around. it is under the powder coat. I priced a new stainless complete at $20,000 $15,000 if i send in the two curved glass pieces. looking for possibly a totaled boat if that is possible

It is just to prevent future corrosion. Hampton would be the one to PM. He has a post on here discussing it.

I am trying to find a source to replace the sliding / roll up closet doors in the forward cabin of my 1985 Sea Ray 27' Sundancer. There are several of these sliding doors that operate on plastic...
