    Water under stairs

89 340 express cruiser...the bottom stair to the galley is hinged & I am getting water in the compartment under those stairs. It can come in from either side & i know it isnt the port side where the fresh water pump is located as that area is reachable from the top & its always dry.

It really bugs me as there is no pump in that area & I have to manually pump it out. If it gets too much water in there it then starts to flow downwards into the compartments under the galley floor.

I am thinking one of two things....either there is a leak under the head somewhere or when it rains & I'm not there it comes in from the top somehow but I dont find any carpets wet or even damp in that area

Maybe someone has had that issue previously, would sure appreciate a solution

I dont know much about '89 model - but if your sump pump (usually from A/C and shower drain) is not working it will leak out below. I had to change mine when I got the boat as I had a swimming pool down there.

CSR is truly a very cool site. Here we have a Canadian asking for help on an American boating forum and he gets a possible solution from a fellow member somewhere on the other side of the globe.
