I believe Teak Isle is the current manufacturer of these parts.

Re: Replacing Companionway Door Tracks 340

With the help from Hampton's posts, I am getting ready to help a friend of mine with this project. Supposedly the manufacturer of the lighter cabin doors like on the 300DA-up were made by a company other than Teak Isle. As Frank said, I believe it is Spartech marine. Not sure what their fate was but I have heard they are no longer. I think the hardware for the heavier fiberglass doors on the 280-Down used Teak Isle hardware. When checking for some spare parts for mine last year, Sea Ray told me they were still available.

For my friend's 340DA, I am looking to use the "retrofit" kit available from Flounder Pounder. You have to replace both tracks but the good news is the replacement tracks are made of aluminum rather than plastic.

Re: Replacing Companionway Door Tracks 340

I guess I should have tacked onto this thread instead of starting my new one on this. Hampton's experience helped me a lot now that I found this. Its not just replace and go. Its like putting in a new door in your house after the house has settled for years. I still have work to do to get it right. The door still sags and drags on the lip of the doorway opening.

Anyway, you can also get the parts from Flounder Pounder and Boat Outfitters. I bought the stuff from Flounder Pounder. I am not happy yet with the restricted turning of the truck wheels. I am hoping some machine oil will make them roll more freely.

Jason - I am in the middle of doing mine right now. I have a set of "how to" posts and the results so far in the 300DA Questions forum.
