Consider painting the vinyl to help with the sale. I am hearing good things about this stuff https://www.semproducts.com/marine-r...h/vinyl-coattm

i used the SEM spray vinyl coating to refinish the entire cockpit of a previous smaller boat....IMO the results were very good....

here is a pic of a side panel and a seat bottom that were refinished with the SEM spray....
these panels had significant staining from mold/mildew when I bought the boat that could not be removed.....the blue piping was also refinished with SEM spray....

also, after I thoroughly cleaned the vinyl i applied a coating of Kilz primer under the SEM spray coating to insure the stains would not bleed through the new coating......worked great.....the vinyl still looked good when I sold the boat a couple years latter.....

Can anyone confirm which "white" is the best match for sea ray vinyl from the late 1990's / early 2000's vintage? Sea Ray Mystic White M25093?

I used 'Mystic White'.....it was pretty good match to the gel coat.....that boat was a 1998 model.......I would suggest also getting the SEM 'vinyl cleaner' to prep the vinyl properly before coating.....I think they have a short tutorial on their website how to prep and paint vinyl......

What is your fuel economy? I have gas, and burn 28 gph doing probably 24mph. So, not good. Granted, not much I can do, repowering with diesel would never pay off unless I took the boat out daily. But I am curious. Diesel is cheaper here in FL, typically around 2.75-3.10, whereas gas is 3.30-3.80.

    Re: 1997 Sundancer 400 Diesel $89,000

At hull speed the boat gets around 2 mpg, at cruise speed it is 1mpg. 2400rpm = 24mph and 24gph I do not have a fuel flow meter but this seems to be what I get and I have verified this is what others are getting with the 3116s as well. Most of the cruising we do is lower rpm hull speed so we do not wake the smaller boats. It is totally normal around here for a guy in a 14' aluminum john boat to anchor in the main channel and fish with small kids on board. A big difference I notice compared to the 270 Sundancer I had with a single big block is the hull speed economy. When we fill up here we can have fuel delivered for the same as pump diesel prices which is $2.29

Size: 95.9 KB We had her out Sunday for a 50mi run, she is looking good and ran even better! I also coated the seats in vinyl paint which took 7 cans but looks amazing. Thanks for the advice!

Wow That is exactly what I want as my next boat. I don't mean to junk up your thread but I certainly want to compliment for being a beautiful 400. If I were in my 97 330DA a little longer "just bought last June" Id be all over this... and a heck of a deal indeed!
