    2001 400 sedan bridge

    Hello Everybody !!!

I have been checking in on this forum / club for a few weeks now and I must say it looks great. I previously owned a Carolina Classic 28( just sold ) and that forum was great also, lots of experience and info available like on here.
    I am looking at/ made an offer ( accepted ) a 2001 400 sedan bridge wth the Cummins 6CTA 8.3 engines.
The boat is very clean for a 2001 and I was impressed with her condition for her age ( that is saying alot as I don't impress easily). Will be getting both the boat and engines surveyed in the next couple weeks ( weather permitting).
Does anybody know if there are specific issues with the 400 I (we)should be looking for ?? We saw several durng our search that had rott under the front glass, this one does not.
Any advice is appreciated thank you.

Thumbs up 2001 400 sedan bridge

    Terrific boat! That's awesome! Congratulations!

Mrs. Strypes and I would love to own a 400 Sedan Bridge someday. Specifically one with the dinette option vs. the lower helm, 2 couches in the salon and the u-shaped dinette/seating on the fly-bridge with 3 helm chairs...

Welcome aboard CSR! I can't help you with what to look for, but there are several members here that should be willing to help and give their $0.02!

    Cheers

    2001 400 sedan bridge

I have the same boat. I can tell you that 15 years is about the life cycle for all the house systems. So if fridge, microwave, ac units, fresh water pumps, etc; are all factory original, plan on replacing all of them within the next few years.

Leaking windshield is common at this age. Often you can't tell it's leaking. On mine the water ran behind the trim to port and ended up filling up the mirror cabinet in the port head.

Really fun boat. Really good for a couple to spend extended time on. Only pain is movement inside the cabin has you constantly stepping up or down a step or two. Nothing is on the exact same level.
