    We did a close comparison of the SeaRay and 42 Regal at the NY Boat Show last year. Very different boats for sure. The Regal is more traditional in floor plan and basically a continuation of what started out years ago as their 3870. A real nice boat with lots of space and the pods look to be a good thing if you aren't in a shallow area.
    The Sea Ray is a completely different kind of design with more traditional power. The cockpit is very small but the open floor plan of the salon is kind of a continuation of the cockpit. I actually kind of liked that part but didn't care for the enclosed helm. Looked like maneuverability would be tough to judge in a tight docking situation. I didn't like the boat at all with the flybridge.

    i never made it onto the flybridge boat but did see it. also didn't make it onto the Carver either. the snout was pretty ugly but would have loved to have seen the inside. i was pretty sick and saw a long line and i sign in to get inside so i passed
