    I'm reading this thread with interest and curiosity because my goal is to get back to a big boat in the coming years.

    Just to clarify, when you refer to inboards and outboards, my assumption is you mean v-drive vs. sterndrive, correct? At first I was trying to picture a 300 DA with outboards attached to the swim platform.

    I get detention for saying "outboard" when I should say "stern drive."

    But since you raised the question, if you attach an outboard to your swim platform, could you use the same hardware to anchor the Honda generator? Probably could drill fewer holes that way....
