Hydraulic Lift Install Pics Day 1 and 2

I'm impressed so far after day 1. They removed my swim platform then tented and heated the entire area so they could fill the holes and let things cure up at the proper temp. Electrician installed the hardware and pumps on the inside. Will post more pics tmro or Thursday when complete.

Notice you can no longer see the holes from the huge bolts that held the old platform. They have to drill new holes tomorrow. The backing plates they use are huge and at least 1/4 inch thick.

Very nice! Sad the boat didn't come with one originally. Don't even want to know what that set you back but well worth it IMO. I wish my 419DA set up to handle one but it's way too stern heavy and sits real low on the ass end.

I'm looking at the name on the truck and seeing snow and thinking "What is wrong with this pic?" That looks great and know you will get much enjoyment out of it. Maybe on HMIV I will be able to get the hydraulic lift. :)

I like the attention to prep work. Don't let them fool you though...they will forget to put caulk in the holes and your transom will be soaking wet next year! HA! JK
Keep posting pics! Cool to see it as it happens!

Just curious......a lot of talk in the past on here about the "right" way to drill the transom......was there wood coreing where the old platform was bolted on? Were the holes drilled oversized, filled with epoxy, then redrilled to size? Will the "new" holes be done this way? If not, do they use 5200? Something else? BTW, beautiful boat!

I'm interested in seeing the completed pictures, I'm in the process of having a hydraulic lift added to the back of my boat also. Bet those boys from Florida are enjoying the northern temperatures

Hydraulic Lift Install Pics Day 1

Transom not thick enough where they had to drill for the new bolts. So they had to add wood bracing on the inside and fiberglassed it all in and also gel coated it (wow!). They said they run into that all the time when fiberglass less than 3/4 inch. Mine was about 1/2. I could not believe how heavy the old swim platform is. Old platform was leaning against a fence and I could barely move it off the fence. Not sure if there was wood bracing for old platform or not. My guess is that it weighs 500 or 600 pounds. New platform less weight. Notice they broke my underwater light by accident. They're overnighting new light and will install tmro. Yes, they seal all holes with 5200. Will post final pics tmro. Hope all goes well.

What brand lift are you having installed? Is it a SeaLift?
