Re: Insurance rate went up - no claims

Same thing happened to me after Hurricane Sandy. Insurance went up a lot even though I had no claims. Insurance company said it increased because of all the other claims in the area.
Check with NBOA. I got a quote from them on this boat when I bought it last month and they were very competitive so I went with them.

Shop Shop Shop. Every year. Especially if your rate goes up. There is always a company who wants new business and your business. Its unfortunate but its the world we live in. Just like shopping on amazon etc there are many options out there. I had Geico for my 01' 280 that I sold back in September. Picked up a 02' 340. My insurance quote with Geico was almost double! I couldnt believe it. Shopped around and got a great deal almost the same as I was paying on my 280 with all the same coverages etc.
