Detroit Diesel Mechanic Recommendation - East Central Floirda

Looking for a Detroit Diesel mechanic recommendation for East Central Florida (Melbourne, Cocoa Beach, etc). Need more than a routine maintenance guy. Thank you in advance.

I would try Florida Detroit Diesel Allison…….they have a marine division and the store here has very competent mechanics that do great work.

    Hey Pete
First - I'm sorry about not being able to get over to your place and see that boat; We've landed some new contracts out of state and I've not been home too much. Also I do know Capt. Higgins' home time is greatly abridged due to all of the shows and deliveries.....I guess it's the price to pay for fame and fortune.

Regarding a good mechanic - I've had the same mechanic for the last six years and have been extremely pleased with his work; he likes the Cat's but has a lot of experience with Cummins, Detroit, Perkins, and Volvo. He did make it crystal clear that he would divorce me if I ended up with MAN's or MTU's; I guess he has his reasons.
Regardless, If you are interested in looking into him, drop me a message and I'll get you his contact info. He is a busy man and I usually need to schedule at least a month in advance unless an emergency.

    Tom
